The premiere of a new season always implies changes. It is one of the busiest times at the Café de Oriente because the kitchen fires up its ovens to offer its customers a proposal full of seasonal products. Thus, we welcome autumn and enjoy new dishes full of flavor and typical of these dates.
At the Café de Oriente we will provide you with an irresistible gastronomic plan: a menu with the highest quality products and raw materials the season has to offer such as 00 anchovies or Iberian ham, healthier options such as our salad variants or dishes such as artichokes stuffed with cod brandade with baby broad beans, ham and tapenade, or the boletus cream with roasted sweet potatoes, foie gras, and croutons.
Our main dishes offer an outstanding autumn gastronomic tour with seafood such as squid from Guadañeta in onions and creamy rice with mussels in green sauce, sole stuffed with txangurro, or grilled turbot with vegetable chop suey and txakoli sauce. Our meats feature Paul Bocuse-style coquelet de bresse (one of the culinary highlights of Chef Roberto Hierro’s cuisine), the bullion of suckling pig confit and lacquered in its own juice with three different kinds of apples, or the star dish of Café de Oriente, the shoulder of suckling lamb; the great protagonist of our kitchen.
This season, the Café de Oriente also offers you an assorted dessert menu adapted to all tastes and likings. The stage is shared by desserts with their own personality and an intrinsic part of the Café’s kitchen, such as our Torrija with toffee and vanilla ice cream, healthy alternatives such as natural fruit salad with mint juice, and others characteristic for their originality and mixture of flavors such as the white chocolate and strawberry yogurt marinated with sponge cake and pepper ice cream, or the fig biscuit with cocoa glass and chocolate sauce.
The debuted menu is an added value to the Café’s terrace and the privileged views of the Royal Palace and the Plaza de Oriente landscape dressed in autumn colors. In addition, the Café continues to offer takeaway services from Monday to Sunday.
